Category Sales Manager - Fashion
BASIC FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Advertising Director, this position is accountable for selling advertising space in PLAYBOY in a specifically defined East Coast territory by implementing sales strategies and tactics. This position interacts with Marketing, Editorial, Production and Promotion personnel internally and with advertising agencies and clients externally.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Work with Sr. Management to establish long-range and short-range sales strategies that reflect company objectives, industry dynamics, and territory-specific factors.
2. Implement sales strategies in order to optimally achieve set sales targets.
3. Effectively position PLAYBOY in the ad community through a throrough working knowledge of its consumer and editiorial values.
4. In conjunction with Sr. Management, establish and implement effective sales techniques to develop new business, retain and expand existing business and continually ensure understandng of clients' marketing needs.
5. Maintain ongoing and approproiate contact with key client decision-makers. Resolve client concerns/complaints in the best interest of both the customer and PLAYBOY.
6. Prepare and execute sales and client presentations and written correspondence in a createive and impactful way.
7. Prepare and submit expense/travel reports and maintain territory and client recors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
8. Exercise control over expense items and utilize othe discretionary resources/services in a cost-effective manner.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
College degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years sales or advertising industry experience.Strong communications and presentation skills essential. Knowledge of computer software (MS office Suite) necessary.
