Job Description
This Mobile Product Manager will work with the VP of Mobile, Director of Product Development, and the Mobile Engineering team to take products from initial concept to requirements definition, market launch, and ongoing release support. More specifically, he/she will be responsible for:
Identifying new product opportunities with carrier and device partners
Translating business requirements into detailed design specifications including site maps, flow charts, activity diagrams, use cases, wireframes, and visual design treatments
Coordinating and prioritizing product feature requests
Analyzing product sales and usage data
Presenting product concepts to senior management
Creating supporting marketing materials
Assist in product testing and provide user acceptance
Provide customer support to resolve issues with launched products
Required Skills:
Understanding of mobile applications and wireless device platforms
Text messaging
Mobile web
Mobile clients on platforms such as iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Palm WebOS, J2ME, etc.
User interface design including information architecture, paper-prototyping and wireframing
Knowledge of principles of usability and human-computer interaction, with focus on mobile applications
Strong visual design skills and experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
Knowledge of mobile devices and industry trends
Knowledge of MMA guidelines and carrier requirements a plus
Ability to work flexible hours during critical project delivery times
Detail-Oriented
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Desire to collaborate with others in a team environment
Experience leading cross functional teams with participants from different disciplines including engineering, business development, marketing, and editorial
Ability to translate strategic business objectives into product feature definition and technical requirements
Understanding of on-line marketing, contextual promotion, and banner advertising desirable
Experience with Agile development tools and techniques
